SVCN's Membership Scholarship Program

Our Commitment

In line with our commitment to racial justice and equity, SVCN offers scholarships for both SVCN memberships and our training programs to ensure organizations and individuals of all sizes and budgets can participate fully in our ecosystem.

We strive to accommodate all eligible requests, particularly those from grassroots and resource-constrained organizations.If your organization is awarded a membership scholarship, it will receive a full or partial waiver of membership fees for one year.

Eligibility

Scholarships are available to nonprofit organizations and individuals who meet the following criteria:

1. Organization located in or serving Santa Clara or San Mateo Counties.

2. Registered 501 (c)(3) organization (or emerging organization).

3. Organizational budget under $1,000,000.

4. Demonstrated financial need and clear impact on the organization and/or community served.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Event Cancellation by SVCN

• The Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.
• If SVCN cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.
• Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, SVCN has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

• Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a full refund for your registration is 5 business days before the event.
• Cancellations received after the stated deadline up to 5 business days before the event start time, will be eligible for a 50% refund of the initial purchase amount.
• Please alert us if an an attendee substitution is needed.  
• Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
• Cancellations will be accepted by email to admin@svcn.org only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
• All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit cardholder.
• Refund requests must include the name of the attendee/purchaser and/or transaction number.
• Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.

Refund and cancellation policies apply to all SVCN events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly as no exceptions will be made.
