Freedom Insight’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the search for our next Executive Director, following Betty Ann Hagenau’s decision to transition from the Executive Director role to a Founder role.

The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive of Freedom Insight and is responsible for growing and advancing its mission, influence, strategic direction, and operational effectiveness. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the ED provides visionary and operational leadership to the organization, oversees all staff and contractors, and ensures the organization's financial health, sustainability and long-term impact.

Freedom Insight, formerly known as the Bay Area AntiTrafficking Coalition (BAATC), was founded in January of 2011 when they rallied volunteers to plan Freedom Summit 2011 at Harbor Light Church in Fremont, California. With 1700 attendees, 33 anti-human trafficking organizations, and 28 breakout sessions, involving over 50 speakers/experts in the field, Freedom Summit 2011 is the largest anti-trafficking gathering in the U.S. to date.

The overwhelming response encouraged the BAATC to emerge as an official non-profit entity that continues to serve as the respected “backbone” and “connective tissue” helping individuals, faith communities, and anti-trafficking organizations work effectively together to build a unified response to human trafficking.

Today, Freedom Insight has equipped thousands of individuals to join the movement to stand against the injustice of human trafficking including 4300 who have attended our Freedom Summits. Since our founding, Freedom Insight has been a pioneer in the fight against human trafficking. We’ve collaborated with over 100 anti-trafficking organizations and government agencies across industries and communities to disrupt trafficking operations and create safer environments for everyone.
