For over 35 years SVCreates has invested in and empowered the Santa Clara County arts ecosystem and worked to build community through arts and creativity. Our Program Director serves a senior role on the SVCreates staff team, developing and executing programs that advance SVCreates mission, specifically managing the grantmaking and capacity building programs offered by SVCreates to small and mid-sized arts organizations and individual arts leaders in Santa Clara County. We call this work “ArtsWeb” – a network of funding, workshops, peer networks, coaching and consulting that builds the strength of the local arts ecosystem. The work is done in the context of our program goals and to advance our strategic priorities. See our website for SVCreates Strategic Framework and Program Goals. Position requires strong project management skills, strong written and oral communications skills, experience in grantmaking or nonprofit administration, and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Position is full-time with in-person requirements at our San Jose office and at events across Santa Clara County. SVCreates is the county and state designated arts service agency for Santa Clara County. We work to elevate the local arts ecosystem by build capacity through grants and training, raising voices through Content Magazine and other programs, and increasing access to the arts through special initiatives. We have done this work for over 40 years in partnership with a network of leaders, funders, and artists through out Santa Clara County.
